Parker

Well... I have been suspecting it for sometime and today it was confirmed. Parker needs to get glasses. I was so worried because of his sensitive personality so I have brought it up here and there over the last couple of months and he always would say something about how he would never wear glasses or how he would hate to wear glasses... but today when we talked about it and I told him he probably would need to get some so he could see better - the first thing he said was, "I want green ones! Just like my friend's blue ones!" All I could think was... thank heaven for little blessings! And for that cool kid that Parker likes - that just happens to wear glasses! I will keep you posted because I am about 100% sure that there will be more to report! :)

Until then... A couple of cute Parker stories...

I have been working from home auditing insurance documents and one of the guys I talk to on the phone all the time is named George. So this afternoon Parker was upstairs in his room playing his Nintendo DS on his bed minding his own business... or so I think... and I was in my office on the phone. As soon as I get off the phone Parker yells down, "Mom! Were you talking to George Bush!?"

Parker sleeps in bed with us almost every night. Sometimes if he gets a little too snuggly for Robert - Robert will end up in Parker's bed. So the other morning, super early while it is still dark outside, Parker sits up in bed next to me and wakes me up so he can say, "Mom. Did you know that leaves have something called chlorophyll in them!?" Then a couple of days later I was talking to him about it again and said something about chloroform, when he promptly corrected me... "No mom. Leaves have chlorophyll, not chloroform!"

He is cracking me up with all of the stuff he is learning in school. It makes me so happy!
