Hurrican Ike Stock Photos

{via chron.com}

And here are a few more photos with captions that I wanted to remember from the Houston Chronicle...

Linemen and tree service workers cue up at Sam Houston Race Park in Houston, Monday, Sept. 15, 2008 as they coordinate and effort to restore electrical power and clean up fallen trees in the aftermath of Hurricane Ike.

Dozens of utility repair trucks stage at a fair ground near Lone Star Executive Airport in Montgomery County near Conroe, Texas and north of Houston Monday morning, Sept. 15, 2008. Two days after Hurricane Ike battered the Texas and Louisiana coasts before striking Houston, the death toll rose to 30 in eight states, many of them far to the north of the Gulf Coast as the storm slogged across the nation's midsection, leaving a trail of flooding.

Damage from Hurricane Ike to the Kemah boardwalk is shown in this aerial view Monday, Sept. 15, 2008 in Kemah, Texas.

A long line of cars snakes around a parking lot for gas at an HEB station in Tomball north of Houston Monday morning, Sept. 15, 2008. Two days after Hurricane Ike battered the Texas and Louisiana coasts before striking Houston, the death toll rose to 30 in eight states, many of them far to the north of the Gulf Coast as the storm slogged across the nation's midsection, leaving a trail of flooding.
