Halloween...

I got the Halloween decorations out and it took me a day or two to get them where I want them. Now I know why my mom takes pictures of her holiday decorations every year before she puts them away. It is way too mentally taxing to decide where to put everything and to move it around every few hours until you like the spot its in! Next year I will for sure have some photo documentation to go by - it will be a piece of cake! Yep! We're nuts and it's FUN!At one point I left the room and a minute later I came back and there was a Clone Trooper attacking my little Halloween figures. Carson was getting a little too close for comfort. That's why they are now safely atop of the entertainment center!Poor Christmas is waiting patiently in the wings... Don't worry - you're up next!

I can't help thinking as I see all your beautiful well orginized decorations, of all the poor people very near to you today, that have left all their "treasures" to flee to safty. Life is so extream and interesting. You will have a long weekend inside so it will be so fun to decorate. I wish I could walk into your house the night it is all done and your candles are lite and it smells like Haloween. I remember how it felt when we would arrive at your moms after a long day of travel, and it would be decorated for Halloween. So homey and fun.I love this time of year in Houston.Enjoy! Your children are so lucky to have you for a mom.
