My Wedding Stamp

OK. I couldn't resist. I had to find my wedding stamp. I fell in love with it when I found it online 8 years ago. So here it is... The stamp and the story...
Frederick Law Olmsted (1822-1903) was a founder of American landscape architecture and one of America’s most prolific park designers. He began his career in landscape architecture in 1857 when he was commissioned (with partner Calvert Vaux) to design New York’s Central Park. Other projects include some of the nation’s most beloved landscapes, including the U.S. Capitol grounds, the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, N.C., the Stanford University campus, and the grounds of the Chicago World’s Fair. Designed by Ethel Kessler, the stamp’s montage includes a portrait of Olmsted, a photograph of Central Park, and photographs of two architectural landscape plans (Prospect Park, Brooklyn, N.Y., and Buffalo Park System, Buffalo, N.Y.).

Did we used to share this obsession? I am a stamp freak! I always order stamps online to get the really great ones. Of course I ordered Travis the collectors Star Wars series last year and framed them for him. I remember the Georgia O'keeffe red poppy stamp and it's always been a favorite.

Now I'm really into this

where they currently have American Idol stamps for you and your grandmother! Did you ever buy the children's book series with The Hungry Caterpillar? They were amazing.

Hilarie cool as usual. I did not remember your wedding stamp but it was gorgeous. Do you still have one?

Yes. I still have some. I have the postmarked envelope that I sent myself an invitatin in and I kept a pane of them as well. Can you believe how quickly stamp prices are rising these days?!
