Quote of the Day - Parker

"The 15th is King Juniors birthday."
And later that night while getting ready to say prayers...
"Mom! Mom! Be sure to bless King Junior."

I'm pretty sure that Martin Luther King, Jr. will forever be referred to as King Junior in our house now. Lol! My little boy is the cutest thing ever! :)

Then today Parker started asking me about the civil war and if I lived back then which side I would want to win. When I explained a little about it I referred to 'white' people and 'black' people thinking that I was being as simple as possible. My bad. He looked at me and said, "Wait. I thought they had brown skin." Darling. And so right.

One of my favorite MLK quotes...
“An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity.”

Too cute.

At least he understood that you didn't live DURING the Civil War. Apperently Jared thought we did and his Grandpa's fought in it.....we had to explain to him, "No, they were in the military during the KOREAN War!"....which then opened a whole new can of political beans!
