I just got this book, The Book of Useless Information, and it is so fun and fascinating! It's a book that you can just pick up and read bits and pieces of. I decided that I am going to occasionally post little fun facts from it.
Here are a couple to get started...
- The three most valuable barand names on Earth are Marlboro, Coca-Cola, and Budweiser, in that order.
- The first time the "f-word" was spoken in a movie was by Marianne Faithfull in the 1968 film I'll Never Forget Whatshisname. In Brian De Palma's 1984 movie Scarface, the word is spoken 206 times - an average of once every 29 seconds.
- The words assasination and bump were invented by Shakespeare.
