Robert was given 4 tickets to the
Astro's game the other night, and since my mom was here and Demi stayed with her, we decided to take the boys. We had so much fun! Here is our night - starting with the car ride down... Robert giving me the '
evil eye' for taking pictures of him while he is driving, me sporting my Astro's cap, Parker resting up after his long week of school and Carson purusing a catalog deciding what he wants to be for Halloween...

Let's just all take a minute to make fun of Robert, shall we? Even though we know exactly where we are going... He has to get out the GPS. It is his new little toy. He uses it for mapping out his route when he goes out on sales calls - and I am sure it is good for that... but it is the most ridiculous thing ever. You have to turn the sound off or the voice will take you all the way to
Timbuktu! Every time there is even a
SLIGHT veer in the way you are headed it will let you know. It's crazy. I don't know about you, but I would just prefer the basic, '
turn left on Washington' kind of instructions. I think it is the same for looking up directions on MapQuest and sites like that also... But I digress - on to
Minute Maid Park!

This guy was so good! We had to stop and put a couple of bucks in his Saxaphone case. It makes me wonder what his background is like. How did he learn to play and how did he end up playing on a street corner in the middle of downtown Houston? He was there when the game ended as well. Parker thought it was so interesting. :)

Finding our seats...

Waiting for the game to start...

Carson watching the train. It moves everytime the Astro's get a home run.

Carson trying to put his '
leash' back on.

Carson getting further and further from me everytime I turn around...

Robert brought Parker's glove in case he wanted it, but he didn't want to hold it and finally he told me that he didn't want anyone to throw him the ball. I finally convinced him that they wouldn't throw it to him and that kids just have their gloves on for fun. He was on-board after that! :)

Lambie just chillin' - enjoying the game.

Mmmmm... yummy Cotton Candy! Carson wasn't too sure what he thought of it. I think it might have been his first experience with it. You should have seen his face. He wasn't sure if he was supposed to eat it. Also - you should have seen him eating peanuts. He is so independent that he wouldn't let us help him get the peanuts out of the shell - so he would just stand there and squeeze the peanut as hard as he could to try to crack it. Finally he just started filling up his pockets with them instead!

Parker and Robert during the
Seventh-Inning Stretch!

After the game they had a fireworks show so they opened the roof. It takes about 10 minutes or so to slowly roll back. Here you can see it with about a fourth of the way left to go.

how fun! there's nothing like a sporting event with little boys - just TOO cute! Love all the pictures, it makes me miss home. It is good to see y'all are doing so well. I've meaning to ask how the summer went with Demi and what the plans are now in regards to where she will live, etc.??? It looks like from the pictures and all that it's been a fun summer!!!
Hill- First of all, I just have to once again remind you that you are THEE most impressive blogger that ever existed. Second, I need to share in your excitement over the white gooey icing, because I made one for Claire's birthday, and it was a significant feat for me as well... I can totally relate! Third, a while ago, you posted about the soap bottles, and the lesson that goes with it. Can I get more details about that? My mother-in-law would like to use it in her RS. Thanks! Keep the posts coming (I know you will). Love you guys!- Emilie
