Wow! I really liked John Edwards. I really thought he was sincere and had a good marriage and family life. The last couple of weeks I kept thinking to myself, "That National Enquirer. Will they stop at nothing to sell papers?" And now it is true. What a sad day for his family. And not just for the infidelity. For his political future as well. Although, who knows. I have been following this story for a few weeks on Drudge. It is so sad for his wife and kids. Why would he do something so stupid? I never cared for him. I had heard things from his neighbor on talk radio awhile back and lost respect for him, but this is a whole new level of crap!I can hardly stand any of them these days.
I think we all thought he and his wife had a great marriage, probably thinking that they'd grown close through adversity with her cancer.
I used to think somewhat highly of him. I would never vote for him for anything. What happened to integrity. If you can't be faithful to your wife, you're probably shady in other things, too.
