Vintage 4th of July

Today I start my 'series' on 4th of July vintage postcards. It has to be a 'series' because there are so many of them that I LOVE! They are all so beautiful and interesting. I especially liked the notes on the back of these 2. What a simple time. Obviously people then had stresses and troubles like people today, but it just seemed so straight forward. Like the top postcard - busy because of her 'boarders and roomers'; and the bottom - busy because she has been 'poisoned'. So funny. And don't you love how they just needed to write a person's name, town and state and they received it. Amazing! With a one cent stamp. The bottom postcard is marked 1908 and I think the top says 1910, but I am not positive. (By the way, poor Carson is 'poisoned' today. He has a fever. I am getting off the computer to go snuggle with him.)

These cards are so vibrant and gorgeous! I am a postcard collector in France so I don't get to see very much Americana:) Thanks for sharing!
