Polar Bears On The Endangered Species List

"The Bush administration announced (earlier in the month) that the polar bear will be protected as a threatened species because of the decline in Arctic sea ice from global warming. It's the first time that the Endangered Species Act has been used to protect a species threatened by the impact of climate change."

I have been meaning to post this story for a couple of weeks now but keep forgetting. It is so sad and amazing to me. Global warming is a scary thing in my opinion. How can people deny it and think it does not exist? Click HERE to read an interesting article on NPR's website.
