- The other night I left at about 9:30pm to go with my sister-in-law Tiffany to see a movie. I got all the kids ready for bed and they were sitting watching a movie. Parker downstairs and Carson and Demi upstairs. I told Robert to get Carson and put him in his crib because he was ready to go to bed. Then I slid out the front door and left. A minute later Robert went upstairs to get him and he was not watching tv. He got a little panicked and went back downstairs. That is when he noticed the front door was open. He ran out yelling Carson's name and ran to the end of the street. He finally saw Carson on the main street heading out of our subdivision in the middle of the road almost to Kuykendahl - for those of you who have been to our house - you know where that is. Robert caught him and he just looked at Robert and simply said, "I going with mommy." It is without a doubt the scariest thing he has done to date. I am sure Robert was totally freaked! We have flip locks on all the doors so he can not get out, but Robert obviously took too long to put it back on when I left. If Carson makes it to adulthood it will be a miracle. Now I get to have nightmares of him escaping and being OUTSIDE the house along with all the shenanigans he pulls INSIDE the house!
- It was bound to happen, but now the last couple of days Carson has been getting up in the middle of the night and coming into our room... This morning we woke up and all three of them were sleeping with us. Demi on the floor so close to my side of the bed that I had to get in and out of the bed by crawling to the foot of it and Parker and Carson in between Robert and I. At least Demi is kind enough to bring her own blankets and pillows and make herself a nice little pallet. :) I practically don't even need to wake up anymore to help her. Parker just sleeps nicely the whole night. Now I just have to deal with Carson sitting up next to me hitting my face saying, "I not tired mommy!" the whole night!
- This morning Carson woke me up by bringing little 'ice cream bites' into our bed. I got mad at him and told him to take them back and put them in the freezer - so he yelled at me and walked out the room and the next thing I heard was a little tumbling sound down the stairs... He was mad at me so he threw the container down the stairs and it broke open about half way down. What a nice way to wake up! A little sprinkling of chocolate covered ice cream nuggets all down the stairs and in the entryway.

Holy cow Hil. Carson is quite the kid. First of all, almost to Kykendahl!!!!! I can't even imagine. Was he the least bit scared? It was dark out wasn't it?! Ha Ha! And the ice cream down the stairs... wow. I'm glad Monet is tame for now.
WOW...good thing he wasn't a first child!!! lol j/k!! Take a deep breath, and realize....it ends as quickly as it starts...it just doesn't feel that way!!! Good Times Hil...good times!!

i don't even know where to start! we were laughing sooooo hard! I mean he is tricky. I love that his excuse is the fact that he is 'just a kid'! and that is straight up freaking me out about him running down the street!
It reminds me of the time i almost let parker fall down the escalator at the Gateway when we were there for someones birthday party. I still feel sick to my stomach when i remember that! Wow your kids have had a lot of close calls ;)
