Phobia

It just occurred to me that I left off the most important 'little known fact' about me in my Tagged post. I don't know what I was thinking! How could I forget not to share! So, here it is...

8) I have an irrational, yet VERY real fear of UFO's and being abducted by aliens. Now as I sit here, in the light of day at my desk with the birds chirping outside, it makes me laugh to think how silly it is. BUT, you could not pay me enough money to watch Fire In The Sky or Signs. And I would have to be HEAVILY sedated to camp in the middle of the desert or in Rachel, Nevada - as my sister and her husband did recently. (check out the link to their blog on my family and friends list - ryan & mallory) And I have to clarify and tell you that it is not just any alien. For example, the 'Siguorney Weaver' type of alien is fine. Or the 'Independence Day' type of alien. It is only the REAL aliens that scare me. The little green men with advanced intellect. The ones that beam you up and probe you and communicate through telepathy. My fear is better now - as I get older. When I was young it was huge and horrible. But sometimes it still freaks me out. It just depends on the circumstances and my state of mind at the time. Like today I will put a picture of a little alien and maybe one of a UFO on this post. But in the next couple of days, it might freak me out so much to see it every time that I bring up our blog that I might have to take it off. So if the photos are gone one day you will know why!

** NEVERMIND - I tried looking for pictures to post but my heart started racing and it made me feel sick and queezy and weak to look at them so I had to stop. You're just going to have a post without pictures!

I am really serious too. I am not trying to be funny. That is why I think it is a phobia. As irrational as it may be - that is what I think a phobia is.
