Today we had our first trip to the doctor for an accident. And I am guessing that being a mom of boys means that it is not the last. Poor Carson fell off the couch and hit his chin on the coffee table. Thankfully the doctors office waited until we got there because they were closing and they could take care of it really quick. They started off by telling me that with a child this age it would require restraints. I said 'you mean a straight-jacket' and they said, 'we like to call it a papoose these days'... Whatever you call it - it was horrible. They wrapped him all up and velcroed him tight but he kept getting his hands out. He cried himself to sleep by the last stitch and then they decided to give him his immunizations at the same time. POOR BABY! I was crying and snot was dripping down my nose and I couldn't do anything about it because I had to hold his hands. The doctor was sweating so profusely it was dripping off him. ANYWAY - just had to mark this monumentous occasion in our family! :) This is just an example of the difference in personalities of Parker and Carson. Parker was so calm deliberate that he barely had any boo-boo's and Carson is all over the place. Robert the other day said, 'isn't it funny how Carson's hair matches his personality?' - and it does. He is only 16 months and he has already fallen down the stairs two or three times and now this, and he climbs on everything. Pulls chairs up to things and already opens all the doors. He is a bit of a wild man - but we love it! Tonight he is doing great and I try to keep a band-aid on it and he just looks at me, rips it off and laughs. That's Carson!

Oh my goodness! A freaking straight jacket? I had no idea they do that. How sad. It really is funny though to see how different Parker and Carson are. We are so excited to be there in a few short weeks!
he is getting so big. It's funny how each kid has such a different personality
